INSTRUCTION FOR USE
SURFACE PREPARATION
The concrete surface to receive the MASTERPAV Puritypav Quartz shall preferably by mechanical scrabbling to achieve a concrete surface profile (CSP) 3 – 5 as recommended by ICRI. The concrete surface shall be thoroughly clean and free from any debris or dust with high-pressure cleaning or vacuum machine. It is recommended to conduct a moisture test on receiving concrete substrate and shall have a moisture content of maximum 4% only. For concrete substrate with moisture content higher than 4%, a moisture barrier is recommended.
2) SURFACE PRIMING
Apply 1 coat of MASTERPAV PU100 Primer to the substrate for better adhesion between the screed materials and the MASTERPAV Puritypav Quartz.
3) MIXING PROCESS
Add the entire content of MASTERPAV Enhancer (Part C) into PU900 Resin Binder (Part A) and mix until homogenous. Then, add in PU900 Resin Binder (Part B) into mixture of Part A+C container and continue mixing for 1 minutes. Add in all 10kg color sand quartz in the mixture and blend them until homogenous.
4) APPLICATION
Installation of MASTERPAV Puritypav Quartz is by using a non-rusty trowel. Properly compact the color quartz during installation to avoid uneven finishing. Screen any high spots until smooth and even. If the color quartz sticked to trowel, wipe and wet the trowel with a bit of MASTERPAV Degreaser 103. Special attention must be taken to ensure mixed materials are poured out from container as soon as after mixed to prevent excessive heating during the chemical reaction within the container.
5) TOPCOAT FINISHING
MASTERPAV Puritypav Quartz can be top coat with 1-2 coats of MASTERPAV PUC600 Gloss Finish by using a brush or roller.
