- INSTRUCTION FOR USE- SURFACE PREPARATION - a)The concrete surface to receive the MASTERPAV EC19 SF Metallic Epoxy Coating shall be subjected to mechanical grinding to achieve a concrete surface profile (CSP) 1 – 3 as recommended by ICRI. - b)It is recommended to conduct concrete moisture test before application of MASTERPAV EC19 SF Metallic Epoxy Coating. Concrete substrate shall have moisture content of maximum 4%. For concrete substrate with moisture content higher than 4%, a moisture barrier is recommended. - c)All cracks are to be rectify before actual application. - PRIMER: MASTERPAV EC10 - a)Pour the entire content of Part B into Part A of MASTERPAV EC10. - b)Mechanically mix the mixture using low power mixer until homogeneous. - c)Apply the mixed material using suitable roller and allow it to dry overnight. - TOPCOAT: MASTERPAV EC19 - a)The previously applied primer should be cured, dry to the touch, and no longer tacky. - b)Light sanding the surface (promotes good bond between coats), follows by vacuuming. - c)Wipe clean the dust using a microfiber wipe with a suitable solvent (eg: MASTERPAV Thinner 101) - d)Pour the entire content of Part B into Part A of MASTERPAV EC19 SF Metallic Epoxy Coating. - e)Mechanically mix the mixture using low power mixer until homogeneous. - f)Divide the mixed epoxy into 2 cups and add color to each one (Cup 1: Base color, Cup 2: Highlight color). Cup 1 should be the main base color and have most of the epoxy, while Cup 2 should be your highlight color and have less epoxy. - g)For every 4kg (A+B) epoxy resin, 1 pack of MASTERPAV Metallic pigments (100g) is recommended. - h)Pour out the main base color which have most of the epoxy and spread it using 2mm notched floor squeegee. - i)Add the desired highlight color to your base color epoxy. - j)Use microfiber roller (lint-free) to blend the base and highlight epoxy to customize the design. - k)The floor will keep self-levelling for hours. Allow the floor to cure 24 hours before you allow anyone step on it. (Pro tips: Spray 91% isopropyl alcohol 15 minutes after application to get rid of air bubbles in the epoxy surface). - l)The MASTERPAV EC19 SF Metallic Epoxy Coating need appox. 2.0kg for every m2 of the project. - m)It is advised not to disturb the poured resin 30 minutes after part A + B has been mixed (working time). - CAUTION! DO NOT LEAVE MIXED PRODUCT IN A BUCKET. THIS WILL CAUSE A FASTER CHEMICAL REACTION & THE EPOXY WILL THICKEN FASTER THAN IT SHOULD. THIS WILL COMPROMISE THE WORKING TIME. REFER TO POT LIFE DATA BEFORE USE. - PROTECTION - After application, it is recommended that the coated surface shall be protected from: - a)Foot traffic for a minimum of 24 hours after application; - b)Light vehicle traffic for a minimum of 7 days after application;
